This course will give an understanding of the methodology and modus operandi of drug distribution along county lines. This spread of serious criminality into new rural markets represents a difference in patterns of criminal behaviour and of an expansion of drug use into previously minimally affected areas.

This course will explore the different County Line models and of the behaviour of the offenders as they spread their markets. It will also look at victims and how they can be coerced into assisting the offenders to develop their business outside of their traditional urban market-place.

The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:

  1. To know the context of criminal exploitation
  2. To understand vulnerabilities and indicators
  3. To know the barriers to engagement
  4. To understand the importance of language
  5. To be aware of the services available nationally

This course meets the Children’s Home Quality Standards as outlined in The Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards 2015.
