A healthy relationship means giving love, respect, and support, and receiving exactly the same in return. Ultimately, we all want that connection and bond with someone who will make us feel good, someone who will make us happy. But healthy relationships don’t just happen. They take time, patience, and people who truly care for one another.

This course will look at the various kinds of relationships, not just romantic ones, and will help you recognise the signs of healthy or unhealthy relationships.

In this course we will look at:

  1. Recognising a healthy relationship
  2. Recognising an unhealthy relationship
  3. The characteristics of a healthy relationship
  4. The negative characteristics of a healthy relationship
  5. Power and control in a relationship
  6. What is meant by “Co-dependency”

This course meets the Children’s Home Quality Standards as outlined in The Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards 2015.
