Parenting can feel like a tightrope act sometimes. It can be difficult knowing when you should discipline your toddler or knowing when you should be laid back. As this course explains, the most important things when it comes to your child's behaviour is consistency. This course will begin with some general parenting ground rules then will move into boundaries, explaining why they're important and how you can set them. It will look at how you can encourage good behaviour from your child and also how to deal with certain difficult behaviour. The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To understand the parenting ground rules
  2. To know why setting boundaries is important for toddlers
  3. To know how to set clear boundaries
  4. To know how you can encourage your toddler to behave well
  5. To know other methods to reward your toddler's good behaviour
  6. To know what to do about begging
  7. To know what to do about whining

This course meets the Children’s Home Quality Standards as outlined in The Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards 2015.
